KING COUNTY, Wash. — More frequent and reliable bus service is coming to some of King County Metro Transit's busiest routes starting this fall.
The agency’s announcement is due to investments it said were made by Amazon and the City of Seattle.
"Demand for transit continues to grow throughout our region, and we are stepping up to deliver," King County Executive Dow Constantine said.
Twenty-two additional weekday trips will be added for two years, serving areas like West Seattle, Shoreline, Ballard and Capitol Hill.
That adds up to 1,700-weekday boardings, King County Metro Transit said.
Some of the popular routes to be included are the RapidRide E and C lines, as well as routes 8, 40, 62 and 63.
