BREAKING: Suspect in deadly UW stabbing turns himself in, police confirm

SEATTLE — A suspect in the deadly stabbing of a University of Washington student has turned himself in and is in custody, Seattle police confirmed Thursday morning.

On Wednesday afternoon, Seattle police released a series of photos of the man they believe killed a University of Washington student in an apartment complex near campus, asking for the public’s help identifying him.

The student was found stabbed to death in the laundry room of the Nordheim Court apartments late last Sunday.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the suspect, a 31-year-old man, turned himself in to Bellevue police on Wednesday night at around 10:40 p.m.

He was then transferred into the custody of Seattle police and booked into the King County Jail for investigation of murder.

Police say he will likely be in court today or tomorrow.
