4th person arrested in death of Tacoma teen

TACOMA, Wash. — A teenage boy was arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of a teen who was shot and killed in a Tacoma parking garage early Sunday, October 18.

The boy is the fourth person arrested in connection with the shooting. According to police, they booked him into Remann Hall juvenile detention center Wednesday.

The three other suspects, all adults, appeared in court Wednesday after being arrested Monday.

18-year-old Jose Campos was charged with first-degree murder, nine counts of assault, and firearms charges.

Campos is accused of firing into a crowd that had gathered in the Commerce Street parking garage. 16-year-old Josiah Midgyett was killed during that shooting.

Witnesses told police up to five masked gunmen opened fire in that parking garage. Tacoma Police declined to say whether they’re searching for more suspects.
