One critically injured in South Park shooting, suspect at large

SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating a shooting in the South Park neighborhood on Monday night.

According to Seattle police, officers responded to a call for the shooting around 9:40 p.m. along 14th Avenue South, near Tastys Bar and Grill and South Town Pie.

Arriving officers found a man in the back parking lot, believed to be in his 30s, with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police confirm he was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating what led up to the shooting, and say the suspect ran off before officers arrived. As of Tuesday morning, nobody had been arrested.

This was the second shooting in Seattle in the span of three hours. Around 6 p.m., SPD responded to a park in Lake City for a shooting.

Two people were killed in that shooting.

No suspect has been arrested in that incident either.

The shootings do not appear to be connected.
