Cirque du Soleil canceled its VOLTA show on Friday night after a problem in the hydraulic system caused a hose to break loose and spill vegetable-based oil out onto the stage and some audience members.
This happened during the first half of its 8 p.m. performance at Redmond's Marymoor Park.
Officials said the audience members who were sprayed with the fluid were escorted outside the Big Top by employees and were offered assistance.
No one was injured by the incident and officials said the oil poses no risk for the health of guests and employees.
All customers who had purchased tickets for the canceled show will be automatically reimbursed.
