Thousands gather to send off Seahawks

SEATAC, Wash. — The cheers and noise rivaled Sunday afternoon's in the Clink.

It was hard to distinguish what was more overpowering: the fog or the fans.

SeaTac saw one of the biggest airport sendoffs yet.

Thousands lined 188th Street, for more than a mile for the moment the team buses passed by.

The team was on its way to the airport, bound for New Jersey.

The 12th Man wants to leave no doubt as to who has the best fans.

"Seattle! Number one," yelled one fan.

Asked how it feels to be in the crowd, one woman said: “Amazing! Amazing and I'm going to the Super Bowl!"

Leslie Waymire also shelled out $1,600 to go to Super Bowl 48.

"Because we might get to do it again," she said.

"The 12th Man deserves a championship. Seahawks deserve a championship," said another fan.

The moment went by fast, but will last forever.
