Kitna to donate Cowboys salary to Lincoln High School

IRVING, Texas — The Dallas Morning News reported Kitna , 41, will earn about $53,000 for his week of work.

The Cowboys signed Kitna because Tony Romo is injured. Kitna will suit up Sunday as the backup to Kyle Orton if Romo can’t play.

Kitna retired from the NFL in early 2012 after the 2011 season. He was in the league for 15 years.

Kitna is a math teacher and head football coach at Lincoln High School.
