SKAGIT COUNTY, Wash. — Amazing video from Puget Sound Energy shows first-of-its-kind inspection work on the Lower Baker Dam.
Workers rappelled down the 285-foot spill side of the structure in north central Skagit County looking for possible signs of deterioration.
The work is made necessary in large part because of a disaster that hit the dam 50 years ago when a slide took out the powerhouse and buried records.
