Thieves used forklift to steal ATM in Oklahoma

BIXBY, Okla. — Police in Oklahoma are looking for brazen thieves they said used construction equipment to steal an ATM.

Bixby Police told KOKI that a forklift was used to tear the ATM out of the ground at the Tulsa Teachers Credit Union Friday morning.

The ATM with money inside was loaded into a vehicle and taken from the crime scene, police told KOKI.

Police told KOKI that the forklift was rented, but that it was too early to say whether it was rented legally.

At this point, investigators are looking at surveillance video, and told KOKI they don’t yet know how many people were involved in the heist.
