TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Police in Alabama breached the home of a woman who refused to let two boys leave her apartment after a sleepover on Sunday.

Dasha Sharnell Bishop, 23, was charged with felony interference with custody following an hours-long standoff at her Tuscaloosa apartment, according to AL.com.

Bishop’s bond was set at $15,000, the maximum for the charge, police spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor told AL.com.

Authorities told WBRC that two people living in her complex had allowed their boys, ages 9 and 10, to spend the night with Bishop and she was refusing to let them leave.

Bishop refused to answer the door for neighbors and police, so mental health officers and a Special Response Team were called. Just after 3 p.m., authorities broke down her front door and took the children out of the apartment.
