New York State Police arrest motorist 3 times in same day

The New York State Police had its hands full with one motorist earlier this month, arresting the man three times in less than 12 hours.

Robert Radek, 29, of Marlboro, was arrested three times by troopers on March 7, according to a NYSP news release.

All three arrests occurred in Newburgh, WNBC reported.

The first arrest occurred at 7:55 a.m. EDT, according to the news release. According to troopers, Radek was driving a 1994 Jeep Cherokee when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The trooper learned that Radek was driving with a suspended driver’s license and was in possession of crack cocaine, the release said. Radek was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a seventh-degree misdemeanor offense, and was ordered to appear in court on April 19.

At 2:30 p.m., Radek was driving a 2007 Honda Civic and was pulled over by the same trooper, according to the news release. The trooper, who recognized Radek, discovered that the motorist was in possession of 1.3 grams of heroin and crack cocaine. Radek was charged with the same offense again and ordered to appear in court on April 19.

At 5:45 p.m., Radek was driving the Jeep Cherokee that he had been operating during his first traffic stop, WNYW reported. He was pulled over for multiple vehicle and traffic violations, according to the state police news release. The trooper determined that Radek was driving while impaired and charged him with driving while ability impaired and aggravated unlicensed operator first degree, a class E felony.

Radek was released on an appearance ticket and ordered to appear in court on April 20, according to the news release.

It is unclear whether Radek had retained an attorney, WNBC reported.
