To mark the occasion, Harry and Meghan, who recently stepped down as senior royals and moved to California, released a video of the duchess reading the book “Duck! Rabbit!” to the birthday boy. The clip, filmed by Harry, was shared as part of Save the Children’s Save With Stories campaign, which aims to support kids in need during the coronavirus pandemic.

Other members of the British royal family took to social media to share well-wishes for the youngster, whose parents opted against giving him an aristocratic title.

“Happy Birthday to Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, who is celebrating his 1st birthday today!” Buckingham Palace, the official residence of Queen Elizabeth II, tweeted Wednesday morning. “Archie is The Queen’s eighth great-grandchild.”

A family photo accompanied the post.
