OAKLAND, Calif. — At least four people have been hospitalized, including one in critical condition, after gunfire erupted in Oakland, California, late Sunday, authorities said.
According to The East Bay Times and The Mercury News, the shooting occurred about 9:20 p.m. local time on Ygnacio Avenue in Fremont. Oakland police arrived to find four people who had suffered gunshot wounds, the newspapers reported.
Emergency crews rushed the victims to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries, authorities said. One victim is in critical condition, the outlets reported.
No further details, such as a suspect description or the conditions of the other victims, were immediately available.
