NEW YORK — Two teens were arrested after vandalizing St. Patrick's Cathedral during protests against police brutality and racial injustice, the New York Police Department said.
Anaya Diaz, 18, and an unidentified 17-year-old girl were arrested and charged with criminal mischief and graffiti, WCBS reported.
The pair were seen in surveillance video spray-painting obscenities as well as the letters “BLM,” “NYPDK,” and George Floyd’s name on the steps of the cathedral during demonstrations May 30, WCBS reported.
Yadir Avila Rosas, 26, a getaway driver for the group, was previously arrested and charged with criminal mischief and graffiti.
