Jefferson Airplane guitarist Paul Kantner dies

Paul Kantner guitarist of psychedelic rock group Jefferson Airplane has died at 74.

SFGate reported that Kantner's publicist said he said he died of multiple organ failure and septic shock.

Kantner had health problems as of late and had a heart attack earlier this week.

As a member of Jefferson Airplane, Kantner was as leader in what became known as the San Francisco sound.

The band is known for hits such as "Somebody to Love" and "White Rabbit."
