Tacoma police announced several arrest made in ring believed to be responsible for hundreds of apartment and condo burglaries and identity theft.
In addition, police think the organization is also involved in car prowls in the Old Town and Stadium districts.
According to a news release, members of this ring broke into apartment and condominium offices to steal rent checks and master key rings. They used the keys to access residents' homes and mailboxes, stealing personal documents including tax returns, credit cards, driver's licenses and bank statements.
The Pierce County Prosecutor's Office charged Quincy Douglas, Molly Murray and Kelly Kirgin with numerous crimes including residential burglary, identity theft, possession of stolen property, criminal impersonation and possession of stolen mail. The defendants are currently in custody at the Pierce County Jail.
The suspects reportedly used victims' stolen credit cards to make purchases, and they modified stolen checks using other victims' identities.
