A man suspected of driving under the influence was arrested after a multi-vehicle crash that killed a woman and injured several people Tuesday morning.
The crash happened on southbound I-15 south of Rancho California Road just before 7:30 a.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said one person died, two had serious injuries and two had minor injuries. Two people refused treatment.
CBSLA reported that a driver in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck flew down the highway, crashed into a Nissan Altima. The woman driving the Altima died.
California Highway Patrol told CBSLA, the driver, is 25-year-old Javier Caldera from Auburn, Washington. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
California Highway Patrol is investigating.
