I-5 reopens after semi crash near Vancover, Wash.

VANCOUVER, Wash. — All southbound lanes of Interstate 5 were blocked overnight near Vancouver, Wash. after a semi-truck hauling empty wine bottles overturned.

The truck crashed on the Interstate Bridge over the Columbia River shortly before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Drivers had to take I-205 to get into Oregon.

At 4:40 a.m., WSDOT said crews were using airbags to get the truck upright. The semi was upright by 5:25 a.m., and it was being towed away at 6:12 a.m.

Crews assessed the bridge for possible damage and then reopened the freeway about 7 a.m.
