Woman burned in Tacoma house fire

TACOMA, Wash. — One person was hurt in a house fire in Tacoma.

The fire broke out at the home in the 5700 block of Park Avenue at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A woman who lives in the home was seriously burned and was transported to a Seattle hospital.

The victim's condition is net yet known.

Firefighters knocked down the flames after about an hour and were able to keep the fire contained to the first story of the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
