TACOMA, Wash. — Crews extinguished a fire at a small animal hospital in Tacoma overnight.
Heavy smoke was pouring from the building when KIRO 7 arrived at the Portland Avenue Small Animal Hospital at about 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Only one cat was inside the hospital at the time of the fire. It died in the flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
