TACOMA, Wash. — A man is in critical condition after an apartment fire in Tacoma Wednesday morning.
The fire broke out at the Orion Luxury Rentals at St. Helens Avenue and South First Street in downtown Tacoma at 6 a.m.
The critically hurt person was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
A crew was able to quickly get the fire under control with the help of sprinklers in the unit.
Smoke marks can been seen around a window on the 11th floor.
Others in the building were evacuated.
