SEATTLE — A stolen moving truck containing a JBLM soldier's life belongings was found Saturday with most of his possessions gone.
"Pretty much all the hope's gone. I know that all the stuff's gone," said Army Spc. Jonathan Mann.
When Mann got a call from Fife police Saturday morning, he found out the Penske truck, which had been filled with his life's belongings, had been found in Gig Harbor.
"All my military awards were in there, and obviously had my name on them," said Mann.
After spending four years at JBLM, including a tour in Afghanistan, Mann was packed up Tuesday night--and ready to head home to Springfield, Mo.
He parked the Penske in front of a Fife Motel 6. The next day, the rental truck was gone.
"It's just very sickening and almost crippling," said Mann.
On Saturday, Mann went to the towing yard in Gig Harbor, but was told the couldn't see inside the truck until Monday because Penske needed to fax over forms.
