A motorcycle rider in his 60s is dead after a multivehicle collision on eastbound I-90/I-405 Saturday night.

The collision involved three vehicles and three motorcycles, Washington State Patrol officials said Sunday.

Eastbound I-90 ramps to I-405 in Bellevue were closed for several hours while troopers investigated the scene.

Two people were transported to Harborview; one man who was being transported died. The other transported individual was a woman in her 60s. She was treated for a rib injury and burns to her face.

The ramps reopened just before 10:30 p.m.

State patrol officials believe several motorcycles were involved.

The Washington State Department of Transportation advised that the best detour was via the 150th Ave Southeast offramp and onramp to WB I-90.

It is still unclear how the collision occurred.
