SEATTLE — Tracks used by Amtrak Cascades, Empire Builder and Sounder Northline trains between Seattle and Everett were closed due to a mudslide Sunday.
A 48-hour moratorium period on passenger trains is in effect until Tuesday afternoon.
Passengers who have paid but choose not to travel due to the service disruption can receive a refund or a voucher for future travels.
The passenger and commuter trains should start rolling again north of Seattle on Tuesday.
