BELLEVUE, Wash. — Police surrounded a home in Bellevue’s Eastgate neighborhood after a domestic violence assault.
The incident at a home along Eastgate Drive and 145th Avenue Southeast started about 4:30 a.m. Friday when emergency dispatchers received a from a woman. A disturbance was heard in the background with someone saying, “You’re going to jail,” and then “Help me.”
When police arrived, a woman ran out of the house and told them she had been attacked. She was taken to Overlake Hospital to be evaluated.

Bellevue police Captain Marcia Harden said there were weapons in the house and another person had been inside with the suspect, but that person was able to come out.
Bellevue police and King County deputies tried to negotiate with the with the 31-year-old man, who refused to come out.
After three hours, police found the man hiding in a shed behind the house and took him into custody.
