Police seek 2 armed men who robbed Bothell business

BOTHELL, Wash. — Two armed men robbed a produce market Sunday evening, and the Bothell Police Department are looking for them.

According to police, the incident happened at 8:41 p.m. at the Yakima Fruit Market at 17321 State Route 522.

Police said the men went inside of the business during closing hours and forced the night manager into an office at gunpoint.

The men demanded the manager to open the safe, according to police.

Security cameras at the business captured the incident and one of the men was seen brandishing a handgun. The police have recovered the video and are reviewing it for the investigation.

The night manager, a 26-year-old Bothell man, was the only employee at the business, according to police.

The manager complied with their demands and gave them an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police. The men then secured the manager’s hands behind his back, and forced him to the floor.

The men fled the scene on foot and no vehicle was seen.

Police said the manager was not injured during the robbery.

Police described one man as white, in his 20s, 6-feet 2-inches tall, 230 pounds and wearing a ski mask, a black or navy colored FILA windshirt and jeans. This man was holding what appeared to be a black semi-automatic gun.

Police described the second man as white, in his 20s, 5-feet 8-inches tall, 160 pounds and wearing a black hoodie, jeans and fitted ski mask.
