SNOHOMISH, Wash. — Deputies have arrested a 36-year-old homeless man for an early morning attack on a woman in Snohomish last week.
The 22-year-old woman was assaulted on her way to work on May 3.
The victim “flagged down a passing vehicle to use the driver’s cell phone around 3:20 a.m. in the 1900 block of Bickford Ave to call 911,” Snohomish County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Sheri Ireton said in a statement. “She reported that, as she was walking to work, a male unknown to her pulled her down to the ground, pulled off her pants and underwear, and started to assault her.

“The victim fought back, kicking the man in the face. The victim was able to break free and run away and the suspect attempted to follow her until she lost him. The victim suffered minor injuries.”
Police arrested a suspect in the attack on Wednesday night.
