Police looking to identify Lacey jewelry thief

LACEY, Wash. — Police want to identify a man seen on surveillance video who stole rings from a jewelry store inside a Lacey Fred Meyer store.

On Nov. 19 at 1:47 p.m., the man walked into Tony’s Master Jewelers in the Fred Meyer at 720 Sleater Kinney Road and asked to see two wedding rings.

Once he had both rings in his hands, he ran out of the store and got into a blue, early 2000s Oldsmobile Alero.  It had paint peeling from the front grill area and was driven by a white man.

The items stolen were a women’s diamond ring set and a men’s wedding band.

The thief is described as black, in his 40s and of average weight and height.    He was wearing a puffy black jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the man or the theft is asked to contact the Lacey Police Department at 360-459-4333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
