Police: Armed man attacks woman at Lakewood park

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Authorities said before 2 p.m. a man grabbed a woman’s shirt from behind. The man was armed with a gun.

The woman screamed, and the man pushed her down and ran away.

A witness heard screams and ran over to help the woman.

Police searched the area but couldn’t find the man.

Some schools in the area were placed on lockdown during the search as a precaution.

Police described the man as white, in his 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin, muscular build. He had a tattoo on his chest of a blue or purple sun. He was wearing a blue and brown knit cap, no shirt and blue jeans.
