NEWPORT, Ore. — Coast Guard officials rescued four people from an overturned boat in Newport Saturday morning.
Their 18-foot boat overturned near the entrance to Yaquina Bay.
The boaters were not wearing lifejackets, the Coast Guard reports.
A crew from the Yaquina Bay Coast Guard station responded, transporting the boaters to back to the station.
The boaters were treated for minor injuries and transported to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital.
A watch stander reported the overturned at about 10:40 a.m. The boaters were out of the water by 11 a.m.
