SEATTLE — Police are looking for a man they said exposed himself to children while parked on a street next to a West Seattle school’s playground.
On Monday at 1:15 p.m., three 9-year-old girls were sitting on the edge of the playground outside Holy Rosary School when they noticed a man sitting in a large white SUV parked the wrong way on 41st Avenue Southwest.
The man called the girls over to the SUV, and as the girls approached, they saw that the man, who was sitting in the reclined driver’s seat, was naked from the waist down.
The man is described as white, in his mid to late 20s, with short dark hair and a heavy build.
When the children started to run toward the school, the man drove away northbound on 41st Avenue Southwest.
Police searched the area but the man remains at large.
Officers notified school staff and gave details of the incident to all patrol officers working in the West Seattle area.
Anyone with information about the incident or who may know the identity or whereabouts of the man or his SUV is asked to call 911 or the Seattle Police Sexual Assault Unit at 206-684-5575. Anonymous tips are welcome.
