It’s National Cat Day! Share your photos with KIRO 7 News

October 29 is National Cat Day – and it’s the purrfect excuse to give your furry friend some extra affection.

It was created by Pet Lifestyle Expert and Animal Welfare Advocate, Colleen Paige, in 2005.

Each year, the holiday helps raise awareness for adoption to help shelter pets find their forever homes.

Humane Society of Mason County is celebrating by hosting an adoption event in Silverdale all day. To see their available animals, click here.
