A naked man had to be pulled from Elliott Bay Tuesday morning after he fled from police and jumped into the water.
“He came up from the construction area running and there were two cops chasing him,” witness Chris Barnett told KIRO 7. “He hopped a fence right between the stairs and fencing and then one cop hopped the fence and the other cop ran around, and then he just bolted across the parking lot and they couldn’t catch up to him, and he just leaped over.”
An officer going into work noticed the naked man walking around the waterfront and tried to stop him. Officers followed him and he jumped into the water near Pier 52.
He was pulled into the Seattle fireboat and was aggressive, police said. Additional details on the man’s mental condition were not immediately known.
