CLE ELUM, Wash. — A moderate earthquake has struck in central Washington near Cle Elum.
The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network says the 4.3-magnitude quake happened shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday in Kittitas County.
It was centered about 20 miles northwest of Ellensburg or 10.5 miles east-northeast of Cle Elum.
The Kittitas County sheriff's office says there were no reports of damage.
On Facebook, one viewer told KIRO 7 her entire house shook.
KIRO 7 received reports from people who said they felt the quake in cities that included Wenatchee, North Bend, Leavenworth, Coulee Dam, Chelan, Yakima, Cashmere and others.
"We live in East Wenatchee and felt a large 'bump.' I noticed a lamp across the room from me was shaking the crystals hanging from it. Our cat hid under my husband’s desk.”
And though it's 130 miles from the quake's epicenter, people in Pierce County reported feeling it as well.
