Tires on multiple cars damaged from metal debris on I-90

ISSAQUAH, Wash. — Metal debris has damaged the tires of five to 10 cars on westbound I-90 in Issaquah, the State Patrol confirmed.

KIRO 7 Traffic Anchor Alexis Smith received a tweet from a driver who said multiple vehicles were getting flat tires Thursday morning.

The debris is near Front Street.

The Washington State Department of Transportation said the debris was some kind of metal.  A crew is at the scene.

Another Twitter user said an I-beam had fallen at the crest of the Front Street onramp.

The debris does not appear to be having a major effect on traffic flow.

A KIRO 7 photojournalist said he saw two cars pulled over on the shoulder who were being assisted by Triple A.
