Marshawn Lynch's mom clarifies her comments on Seahawks offensive coordinator

SEATTLE — The mother of Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch took to Facebook to call out Seahawks offensive coordinator for being the "worst play caller ever" earlier this week.

Delisa Lynch made headlines after the Seahawks lost to the Rams, when she wrote in a post that Darrell Bevell should be fired after Sunday's fourth-and-1 call.

"yes i said it Fired [sic]," she wrote.

"He is the worst play caller ever the only reason he called that dumb --- play yesterday [Sunday] is to be able to justify the 1 yard that wasn't called in the superbowl ,but most fans already figured this out [sic]."

On Thursday, she sent a tweet saying, she loves the Seahawks, but as a fan she still wonders what the coordinator's "logic was."

Pete Carroll tried to provide answers Monday to all the questions that arose from Seattle's surprise season-opening loss.

They weren't easy to come by.

Despite an incorrectly executed kickoff to start overtime, giving up eight pass plays of 20 yards or more, blowing coverage in the final minute of regulation that allowed St. Louis to pull even, or the inability to get 1-yard on their final offensive play yet again, Carroll said the Seahawks "never should have lost that game."

As for Lynch getting stopped on the final play, that was simply the Rams' defensive line dominating, the Associated Press reported.

"It's a good play for us, a good concept for us and all that," Carroll said. "It's been really successful for us for a long time, so we went with it with a real base thought and they played it better than we did."
