Robinson Cano and Mariners finalize huge contract

SEATTLE — Rumors of a big payday and a change of uniform for longtime Yankee Robinson Cano are true, the Mariner's announced.

Cano agreed to the deal matching the third-largest contract in Major League history last week.

The second baseman made his Major League Baseball debut with the Yankees in 2005 and has spent his entire career in pinstripes.

Cano played in 160 games last season and hit .314 with 27 homers and 107 RBIs.  He posted a .899 on-base plus slugging percentage and finished fifth in American League MVP voting.
