Marijuana retail store to open July 1 in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — The manager of the first recreational marijuana store in Spokane says it will open July 1.

The state Liquor Control Board issued the first license in March to Sean Green who has run medical marijuana dispensaries. KIRO 7 called a board spokesman who said the state is still saying "the first week of July," not giving a specific opening date.

KREM reports his business is located at Francis and Napa and is called Kouchlock Productions. The name refers to the phenomenon of being too stoned to get off the couch.
