Man shot in Tacoma children’s park

TACOMA, Wash. — A man in his 20s was shot and injured overnight at a small children’s park in Tacoma, police say.

It happened just after midnight Wednesday.

Officers responded to a shooting at Sawyer Tot Lot, a small children’s park in the 3300 block of South Sawyer Street.

The 21-year-old man’s injuries are considered to be life threatening.

Neighbors said they heard four shots and the man was taken to the hospital by private vehicle, according to police.

Police are still looking for a suspect.
