SEATTLE — A man had to be rescued after he was knocked out of his boat in Elliott Bay Monday.
The man said he was knocked overboard while he was putting out a fender on the side of his boat.
The man was wearing a lifejacket and had a handheld marine radio to issue a distress call.
He was only in the water about 10 minutes before deck crews from the Washington State Ferry Wenatchee launched a high-speed rescue boat and plucked him from the water.
The ferry's sailing to Bainbridge Island was delayed 30 minutes.
