Man charged in Tacoma convenience store shooting turns himself in

According to the FBI, 29-year-old Robert Grott surrendered Tuesday night. 

LOS ANGELES — A man who was charged with murder in a Tacoma convenience store shooting turned himself in to police in Los Angeles.

According to the FBI, 29-year-old Robert Grott surrendered Tuesday night.

Grott is charged in Washington with first-degree murder for the killing of a man outside a Tacoma convenience store last week.

Grott's brother, Rashaad,  was arrested earlier in California.

Prosecutors say Grott fired 46 shots and hit the victim, 23-year-old Julian Jemar Thomas, more than 10 times.

Detectives say he drove his brother out of Washington after the shooting to escape.
