Weekend Weather: Warm today, FALL tomorrow!

If you like your October weather with a side of summer, today is your day!

Offshore flow will push temperatures into the low to mid-70s, with some Foothills communities potentially reaching the upper-70s. That’s a pretty big warm-up for mid-October, especially considering how chilly we are starting out this morning.

The catch? This warm-up is short-lived. Clouds will increase late today, with showers moving in overnight and continuing into Saturday morning. The steadiest rain should taper off later in the day, although showers could linger in the Puget Sound Convergence Zone.

Temperatures take a tumble right along with the sunshine. We’re looking at highs in the low 60s Saturday and around 60 Sunday — a noticeable change from today’s summer-like warmth.

Fortunately, the weekend isn’t looking like a complete washout. Sunday should be mainly dry with some sunshine, and Monday is trending drier, too.

After that, we settle into a cooler pattern for much of next week. It looks mainly dry, but with more clouds and highs that may struggle to reach 60 degrees.

So today is the day to get outside and enjoy those warmer temperatures. The weekend is bringing us right back to October!
