WEATHER: Say goodbye to 70 degrees!

Thursday could be our last shot at 70 degrees for a while. After another mild day tomorrow, a much cooler pattern moves in on Friday with rain and gusty winds, followed by highs only around 60 degrees this weekend.

Today will be sunny and gorgeous after some morning fog and low clouds. A slight offshore wind will help mix out the fog a little earlier than yesterday, with highs in the upper-60s to lower-70s.

Thursday will bring another round of low clouds in the morning, but we’ll see some clearing with high clouds passing overhead. It’ll be another mild day, with highs in the upper-60s to lower-70s.

The big change arrives Friday as a strong trough drops into the Northwest, bringing colder air, rain showers, and increasing winds. Showers should arrive from the northwest Friday afternoon, with highs only in the lower-60s.

The front will push most of the precipitation into the mountains Friday evening, but some showers will linger Saturday. Snow levels could drop below 5,000 feet Friday night and Saturday, so there could be some flakes flying around Paradise, while the lower passes should see mainly rain.

It’ll stay cool but drier Sunday through early next week, with highs around 60 in Seattle.
