Today, high pressure will keep us dry.

Fog has developed across Western Washington this morning; in some places, the fog will be dense while drifting around through the morning hours. Morning lows are in the upper 30s to lower 40s.

Late this morning, the fog will lift up to low clouds. Not much sunshine is expected today with an approaching warm front increasing the cloud cover on top of the fog.

Sunset is at 4:50 p.m. for Seattle this evening, this will keep a short, dim day to begin our November work week.

The warm front bringing all the clouds today will swing across the Olympic Peninsula, Strait of Juan de Fuca and north of Whidbey Island with light rain showers overnight and in the early morning hours of Tuesday. These light showers will stretch to the Canadian border in the morning Tuesday while the rest of us will be dry. Tuesday and Wednesday high temperatures will be in the upper 50s; overnight low temperatures low to mid 40s.

Another ridge of high-pressure slides in to keep us temporarily dry until the afternoon brings in increasing rain through the evening. A wave of low-pressure glances overhead with most energy in Canada Wednesday night. Only a few showers will linger early Thursday morning.

The next weather system will be coming in on Thursday night with more energy. Wind will be locally gusty and mountain snow above 5,000 feet. Expect increasing rainfall Thursday night before the rain changes to showers Friday morning. Friday showers will be heaviest for the north Cascades, Pacific coast and north interior. The Seattle area appears to be in a rain shadow Friday which means lighter rain. High temperatures will feel mild at around 60°.

A new weather system brings rainfall and arrives later Saturday with locally gusty wind again. Sunday morning will quickly dry from lingering showers as the frontal system exits.
