SEATTLE — A wanted felon was arrested last night after crashing a stolen car while running from deputies in South Seattle, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO).
The sheriff’s office reported that deputies spotted and began chasing a “reckless and suspected DUI driver.” The driver also had warrants out for his arrest, and the car was stolen, KCSO says.
Deputies reportedly made a PIT maneuver during the pursuit, and the car rolled over and crashed near South Dawson and 1st Avenue South.
The driver tried to run, but was arrested and taken to Valley Medical Center for treatment.
He was booked on attempting to elude (felony flight), KCSO confirmed.
“Deputies knew this person was a danger to the public and wanted to get him off the street and away from the public,” said a spokesperson with the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office also confirmed that no deputies were injured.
