FEDERAL WAY, Wash — A Walmart employee was injured in a stabbing Friday night in Federal Way.
The stabbing happened at the Walmart located at 34520 16th Avenue South before 10 p.m.
The employee was taken to Harborview Medical Center. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Police said a 23-year-old woman was believed to be shoplifting several items from the store.
When a 26-year-old employee, who works in the loss prevention department, confronted the woman outside of the store, the woman allegedly drew a knife and stabbed him.
The woman was taken into custody and will be booked into jail following an interview with detectives.
Police are continuing their investigation.
