Vehicular homicide suspect on Washington State Patrol’s Most Wanted list arrested

SEATTLE — A man who has been on the Washington State Patrol’s (WSP) Most Wanted list since August has been arrested.

The 39-year-old was allegedly involved in a deadly crash on Feb. 15 on US 101 near Palo Alto Road in Clallam County.

According to the investigation, the suspect was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado westbound toward Sequim when he crossed the centerline and struck a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser traveling eastbound, according to WSP.

A husband and wife were inside the Toyota. The woman died from her injuries.

Detectives believe the suspect was “impaired by drugs and/or alcohol at the time of the collision.”

A warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest.

Detectives worked for months to track him down, according to WSP. WSP said they found him living in a tent in a backyard in Tacoma, but escaped before he was able to be taken into custody.

The suspect was arrested in Seattle on Oct. 5.

According to WSP, someone in Seattle recognized him from the WSP Most Wanted poster and called in the tip.
