The U.S. Marshals Service arrested a Seattle homicide suspect — who was mistakenly released — in St. Louis on Wednesday.

Isaiah Andrews, who was 20 years old at the time of the shooting, was wanted in connection with the death of 20-year-old Theodore Wheeler.

Wheeler was shot and killed in a hotel parking lot in Seattle’s Northgate neighborhood on October 15.

Andrews was arrested several days later in California after a car chase involving three law enforcement agencies. But then jail staff in Contra Costa County mistakenly released him three days later.

He had been on the run ever since.

Andrews is expected to be extradited to Seattle as soon as possible and booked into the King County Jail for investigation of first-degree murder.
