Three rescued in Bellevue apartment fire

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Three people were rescued from a fire at an apartment building in Bellevue, firefighters said.

Firefighters were called Wednesday evening to the 11200 block of Northeast 11th Street.

The first person who was assisted out of the building was taken to the hospital and the second person was checked out, firefighters said. A third person was also assisted in getting out of the building. Firefighters did not reveal the extent of their injuries.

Firefighters said the sprinklers activated and kept a fire in a kitchen from spreading to other units. However, water damage caused multiple families to be displaced.
