Two people rescued from roof of home during fire in Puyallup

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Central Pierce Fire & Rescue saved two people who became trapped on a roof during a house fire.

It happened on 62nd Avenue Court East in the Puyallup area on Monday morning.

When firefighters arrived, they saw black smoke coming from the home and a pair of people stuck on the roof.

The fire was isolated to the kitchen area.

A third person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
